PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Drivers heading northbound through the Okeechobee Boulevard and Seminole Pratt Whitney Road intersection in The Acreage area of West Palm Beach should expect significant delays Monday morning.
The Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department is conducting road work following a valve excavation at that intersection. The closure is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2026, with crews expected to wrap up by 3:00 p.m. the same day.
The northbound right-turn lane and two additional northbound lanes on Seminole Pratt Whitney Road are shut down at the Okeechobee Boulevard intersection. That means northbound, westbound, and eastbound traffic is being funneled through a single permitted travel zone in the left-turn lane only. Digital signs, safety devices, and visible work zone perimeters are in place to guide drivers through the area.
The Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department says it apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the community for its patience while the critical repairs are completed.
