Several Hospitalized After In-Flight Issue.
BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — At least thirteen people were injured on an Allegiant Air flight Monday morning that was forced to return to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport shortly after takeoff.
Allegiant confirmed to BocaNewsNow.com around 2:45 p.m. today that Allegiant Air flight 3912 took off from Fort Lauderdale this morning and then turned around. Wrote Allegiant spokesperson Sonya Padgett: “Flight #3912, which departed Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) May 18, 2026 at 9:20 am local time, bound for Atlantic City Airport (ACY), returned to FLL shortly after departure after the crew received an indication related to cabin pressurization during climb. In accordance with established procedures, the flight crew leveled the aircraft and elected to return to the airport out of an abundance of caution. The aircraft landed normally and safely, and customers deplaned at the gate. No emergency was declared by the crew or Air Traffic Control.
Following arrival at FLL, airport medical personnel evaluated several customers and crew members as a precaution. At this time, we have no reports of serious injuries.”
You can see on the tracking map above — courtesy FlightAware.com — that the plane flew in a series of turns and then returned to FLL, landing at 11:08. Upon landing, at least 13 people complained of ringing in their ears, head issues, and other problems.
Passenger Deborah Steen-Hoffman told BocaNewsNow.com that it was “scary.” She said several people had nosebleeds and complained of severe headaches.
Allegiant says passengers will be given $150 travel vouchers. The flight is set to depart FLL this afternoon with a new arrival into Atlantic City around 5:30 p.m.
