DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A fatal multi-vehicle crash shut down a stretch of road in Deerfield Beach Tuesday afternoon. Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators and fire rescue remains on the scene as of 3:15 p.m.
The crash — involving three vehicles — was reported around 1:45 p.m. in the 4400 block of Northeast Third Avenue. Broward County Regional Communications dispatched BSO deputies, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and BSO’s Aviation unit to respond. One person involved in the collision was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other individuals were transported by paramedics to an area hospital for treatment.
Northeast Third Avenue between Northeast 48th Street and Northeast 43rd Street in Deerfield Beach remains closed as of this 3:15 p.m. Motorists in the area should seek alternate routes.
