DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The future of the “Ag Reserve” (otherwise known as “G.L. Homes and Homes and Homes and Homes”) will be the topic of two public meetings set for June. The “Ag Reserve” has become something of a joke — a place that was supposed to be reserved for agricultural use in West Boca/Delray/Boynton — but is actually a place where county officials continue to permit builders to build. It spans roughly from Boynton Beach Boulevard to Glades Road, straddling the Florida Turnpike along Lyons Road.
We publish — unedited — the announcement about the public meeting made by Palm Beach County Thursday:
>> Board of County Commissioners to Host Public Meetings for Input on the Agricultural Reserve
The Board of County Commissioners invites residents and agricultural stakeholders to attend a public meeting to discuss the future of the Agricultural Reserve (AGR) Tier.
Following a March 26, 2026 directive, the Board is seeking community input to evaluate if current development policies still meet local needs, specifically regarding commercial caps and non-residential growth.
