
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A teacher at St. Andrew’s School in Boca Raton is facing federal child pornography charges following his arrest by agents with the FBI. Patrick Russell, who also coached a JV team at the school, remains in federal custody Friday afternoon.
BocaNewsNow.com is waiting for an official statement from the FBI. St. Andrew’s School confirmed the arrest and provided BocaNewsNow.com with the statement sent to parents early this morning. We thank Saint Andrew’s for its candor:
“Dear Saint Andrew’s School Community,
On Thursday, May 28, we were made aware by the FBI that Upper School teacher Patrick Russell was arrested at his off-campus personal residence on charges of receipt, possession, and distribution of child pornography.
We have terminated Mr. Russell’s employment, and he is not permitted to return to campus, access any school equipment or property, attend any school events, or interact with any students or employees.

We will, of course, continue to cooperate with law enforcement throughout their investigation. As of right now, we are sharing with you what we know. If and when we receive additional information that we are able to share with the community, we will certainly do so.
