PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A teen in a Tesla was killed and others were injured Tuesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on Summit Boulevard in West Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. A Delray Beach man was among the drivers involved.

The crash occurred around 1:33 p.m. in the 5500 block of Summit Boulevard. According to investigators in a statement to BocaNewsNow.com, a 2021 Tesla Model 3 driven by Joseph Alfeo, 19, of West Palm Beach, was traveling eastbound in the left lane when it struck the rear of a 2026 Mack dump truck driven by Ivan Carter, 45, of Delray Beach. The impact redirected the Tesla northward into westbound travel lanes, where it then struck a 2001 GMC Yukon driven by Phillip White, 61, of West Palm Beach.

A passenger in the Tesla, identified as Aiden Hill, 17, of Palm Springs, sustained fatal injuries. Hill’s death was recorded at 1:39 p.m. Alfeo was listed as having minor injuries. Carter, the dump truck driver, was uninjured. White, the Yukon driver, sustained minor injuries.

Investigators say Carter had been moving his vehicle to occupy both eastbound lanes in order to make a southbound turn down a canal bank to deliver materials when the Tesla failed to slow in time to avoid the collision.
