BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Lake Worth man is facing attempted murder and other serious charges after a shooting in a Boynton Beach parking lot Wednesday evening left him hospitalized with a gunshot wound. Frisner St. Cyr, 44, was arrested June 10 following the incident at 2244 N. Congress Avenue, according to Boynton Beach Police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com.

Police say St. Cyr, a convicted felon, drove a black Cadillac CTS to the parking lot — where a woman he had previously been in a dating relationship with works — and confronted her and a male companion. According to the affidavit, St. Cyr exited the vehicle with a firearm and began shooting at the two. The male companion, who had a concealed weapons permit and was armed, returned fire. At least one witness at a nearby urgent care center told detectives she observed St. Cyr fire at the male victim and then chase him into an adjacent parking lot while continuing to shoot.

St. Cyr was struck by gunfire during the exchange and transported to Delray Medical Center, where he was intubated and unable to provide a statement. The incident also had a domestic violence component — records show St. Cyr had appeared at the woman’s workplace just five days earlier and created a disturbance, a separate case already on file with Boynton Beach police. Investigators recovered multiple spent shell casings at the scene and noted a bullet defect in the windshield of a vehicle parked nearby.

St. Cyr faces charges of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, shooting into an occupied vehicle, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (domestic), and felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition. Records show his most recent prior felony conviction dates to 2007. He remain in the jail unit of Delray Medical Center Friday morning.
