PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County woman is suing Pollo Tropical, claiming that there was a rock in her chicken — a rock that severely damaged a tooth. The suit, filed in small claims court, seeks $2,151.80.

According to the small claims filing reviewing by BocaNewsNow.com, Heather Powell says “there was a rock in my food which caused damage to my tooth. When I notified the worker and manager, they were rude to my wife and me and did not help in any way.”

The actual damages sought are $1,926.80, with $225 in fees. That brings the total to $2151.80. Pollo Tropical had not responded to the suit as of Sunday afternoon.

The Pollo Tropical where the alleged incident took place is located 6704 Forest Hill Blvd. in Greenacres.
