Adam Keith Has Multiple DUIs, Tells Troopers He Smokes Weed, Wishes He Was Shot…

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man led Florida Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed chase up Interstate 95 Sunday morning, reaching speeds of 134 miles per hour before troopers boxed in his red Slingshot near Donald Ross Road, according to a just-released arrest report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. Adam Christopher Keith, 31, faces felony and misdemeanor charges including fleeing and eluding with disregard for safety, DUI third offense within 10 years, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and violation of probation.
The pursuit began around 8:46 a.m. on June 14 when an FHP sergeant radioed that a red Slingshot was actively fleeing his marked patrol car. The sergeant tried to slow the vehicle by swerving across lanes at roughly 60 miles per hour, but Keith blew past him and continued north. Troopers said Keith hit an estimated 113 miles per hour in a 65 zone near Northlake Boulevard, made aggressive lane changes, and at one point cut directly in front of a patrol car, nearly causing a collision.
The chase ended near PGA Boulevard and Donald Ross Road, where another FHP Trooper moved in front of the Slingshot and troopers slowed it to about 64 miles per hour. Keith tried to escape through the inside grassy median, lost control, struck the rear of another Trooper’s patrol car and sideswiped the guardrail, according to the arrest report. The vehicle was blocked, Keith was pulled from the vehicle, taken to the ground and handcuffed at 8:58 a.m. Troopers reported he repeatedly banged his head against the patrol car window and said several times, “(The arresting Trooper) should’ve shot and killed him.”
Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue transported Keith to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where troopers noted dilated pupils, slurred speech and the smell of alcohol. Keith refused a urine test, telling troopers, “I just smoke weed, all you’re going to find is weed,” according to the report. Records showed three prior convictions for driving with a suspended license and active probation through April 2029 that barred him from operating a vehicle. Keith was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. He remains held on nearly $100,000 bond.
