BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $3,000 reward for information that helps solve a 25-year-old cold case homicide after unidentified human remains were found in a canal near Boca Raton. The remains were discovered on November 21, 2000, in a canal along the 18000 block of State Road 7, about a mile north of Clint Moore Road.
Investigators tell BocaNewsNow.com that they believe the victim was a Hispanic man between 21 and 35 years old, standing approximately 5-foot-4 and weighing about 113 pounds. He had black hair and brown eyes, and authorities have released a forensic sketch of the man in hopes that someone may recognize him.
At the time he died, the man was wearing black “Attrak” brand jeans, a tan long-sleeve work-style shirt, white tube socks with gray and black striping, and black-and-white Nike Air shoes. Detectives say those details, along with the sketch, remain the best leads in identifying him more than two decades later.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Nancy Milliner of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Unit at (561) 688-4003 or MillinerN@pbso.org. Tipsters may also remain anonymous and become eligible for the $3,000 reward by contacting Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-8477 or by dialing **TIPS. The case is listed under PBSO Case #00-153571.
