BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Heavy rain is leading to impassible roads in South Palm Beach County. The scene above was documented at 6:50 this morning near Palmetto Park Road and Dixie Highway. The water is knee deep. The National Weather Service issued this flood advisory which continues through the morning. We’ve added the extended forecast.

If you’re out and about, please be careful. We know area Fire Rescue crews are busy this morning with lots of calls for flooding, stuck vehicles, and other rain-related issues:

• WHAT… Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
• WHERE… A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Broward and Palm Beach.
• WHEN… Until 830 AM EDT.
• IMPACTS… Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
• ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
• At 624 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
• Some locations that will experience flooding include…

Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point, Hillsboro Beach and Boca Del Mar.
