BOCA RUDETON: No Independence From Dogs Where They Are Not Allowed

Those Selfish Dog Owners Are Still Everywhere, Likely Violating Federal Law.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Selfish dog owners living in and visiting South Palm Beach County are still out and about, bringing their dogs where they’re not supposed to be and potentially violating federal law while doing it. Welcome to the latest edition of Boca Rudeton, where we publicize these people with the hope that they see just how ridiculous they look. We start at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Delray Beach where this man, below, looks great with his dog in a tutu.

And as we get this edition of Boca Rudeton™ underway, we welcome the Sarasota Herald-Tribune to the family of publications following our lead. Our reporting years ago led Publix to post signs saying pets are prohibited. And now the Sarasota Herald-Tribune just wrote this in an article looking at the problem we identified of these Florida idiots people bringing animals into restaurants and supermarkets: >> “U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s Food Code is pretty clear: ‘Live animals may not be allowed on the PREMISES of a FOOD ESTABLISHMENT.’

The prohibition applies to any animals or birds, not just dogs, and is intended to protect food from contamination from drool, urine, feces and other material that pets carry on their coats and paws and might leave behind on store shelves or counters or exposed foods like produce. It also protects other shoppers and employees from unruly animals.” The article also writes what we publish all the time: it’s illegal in Florida to lie about your animal being a trained service animal.

We move on now to Bagel Twins in Boca Raton, where this man seems shocked that anyone could see the dog between his legs. Seriously, there’s a dog between his legs. We’re sure the dog loves being there just as much as Bagel Twins loves him having it there. God love Boca.

At McDonald’s at Atlantic and Military Trail in Delray Beach, we have no idea why this man thinks it’s okay to bring a dog into the restaurant. Sure, it’s McDonald’s, so the standards are pretty low to start with, but the restaurant does kinda-sorta sell food. That makes it kinda-sorta a crime to have the dog inside.

At BurgerFi in West Boca Raton in “Uptown Boca,” we have no idea why this woman has a dog in the restaurant. We may be wrong, but it sure doesn’t look like this dog is a trained service animal performing a lifesaving function. It just looks like a dog in a burger place with a woman.

To Fresh Market in West Boca we go and look! It’s a woman with a dog! As we’ve reported for years and other publications are now reporting, this is seemingly a federal crime. Dogs are not allowed in supermarkets. Maybe we’ve just found a new use for Alligator Alcatraz.

Publix, you were doing so well in South Florida, kicking out people with pets. Why not this person? Even the store employee seems a bit surprised at the size of the dog in a South Palm Beach County location.

As a reminder, Publix has huge signs that are really easy to read. Say it with us. NO PETS ALLOWED!

So who is our winner this week? There’s no question about it. It’s the guy with the dog between his legs in Bagel Twins. That look of surprise that someone saw what’s between his legs reminds us of the Tone Loc song “Funky Cold Medina” with the lyrics: “Sheena Was A Man!” Which leads us to this prize: It’s an image of what Tone Loc might have looked like if he found out Sheena was actually a dog and not a guy! (And if you recall, Tone was already shocked to find out Sheena was a guy and not a girl!)
