The Boca Raton Police Department tells tell BocaNewsNow.com that the agency assisted Delray Beach Police which conducted the operation in the area of NE 20th Street and SW 4th Way — in Boca — around 8 a.m. Photos provided to BocaNewsNow.com show multiple people, seemingly handcuffed, leaning against a SWAT vehicle at the scene.
It is unclear if ANY of the people seen were arrested or charged with a crime. It is unclear what led to the operation. Due to the sensitive nature of the image above, we have made the editorial decision to slightly redact the faces of the people being detained.
A spokesperson for the Delray Beach Police Department late Wednesday morning would only confirm that an operation took place and that the Boca Raton Police Department assisted. The spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing.
