BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Arc Broward’s Youth Links workforce program celebrated the achievements of 49 young adult interns during its Summer Internship Finale. Each participant received a certificate recognizing the successful completion of a paid summer internship with local employers, including Publix, Dunkin’, Walgreens, Broward County Animal Care & Adoption and the City of Coral Springs.
The celebration featured student reflections on their summer experiences, recognition of the employer partners who hosted them, and a certificate ceremony in which each intern crossed the stage in front of family, friends and community supporters.
“This celebration is about so much more than completing a summer internship, it’s about recognizing the confidence, skills and independence these young adults have built along the way,” said Julie Price, President and CEO of Arc Broward. “Through Youth Links and the commitment of our employer partners, our students are gaining meaningful work experience and taking important steps toward successful futures. We are incredibly proud of each student and grateful to the businesses that opened their doors and invested in their potential.”
Youth Links is an experiential learning program of Arc Broward that prepares students with disabilities ages 15 to 21 for post-secondary education, training and employment. During the school year, students take part in learning experiences covering career development, social skills, life skills, self-determination and advocacy, delivered through a mix of classroom instruction and real-life settings. In the summer, students can take on paid employment ranging from 16 to 30 hours per week, gaining hands-on work experience while building the independence, confidence and social skills that support a successful transition into adulthood.
