UPDATE #2 at 5:49 p.m. — FHP just issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com: “The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a shooting that occurred on Interstate 95 by Glades Rd in Palm Beach County.
Preliminary information indicates that one individual sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to Delray Medical Center for treatment.
At this time, investigators are attempting to locate a gray pickup truck believed to be associated with the incident. No license plate information is currently available.
FHP investigators are actively gathering information and interviewing individuals involved in the incident. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available and is confirmed through the investigation.

UPDATE #1 at 5:34 p.m. — The Boca Raton Police Department tells BocaNewsNow.com that the investigation is being handled by Florida Highway Patrol. We are awaiting a response from FHP.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman apparently shot in a drive by shooting on I-95 in or near Boca Raton was rushed by her driver to a Boca Raton Fire station Monday afternoon.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was then rushed by paramedics to an area hospital.
BocaNewsNow.com has learned that the incident took place in the 4 pm hour. It’s unclear specifically where on I-95 the shooting occurred or if anyone else was injured. There are no abnormal delays as of 5:14 p.m. on I-95 in the greater Boca Raton area.
