FDOT lists 20 separate highway projects generating lane closures, ramp shutdowns and detours from I-95 to the Beeline Highway. The county, not to be outdone, has 166 active road and bridge closures on its own list, ranging from FPL pole work to full intersection shutdowns. Major FDOT Highway Projects

Interstate 95

The big one remains the S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard interchange rebuild. Up to three lanes in each direction of I-95 can close 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday night through Friday, with a fourth added as needed. Ramps take turns closing overnight too — only one of the four Boynton Beach Boulevard ramps is allowed to shut at a time, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Boynton Beach Boulevard, Old Boynton Road to NW 3rd Avenue — one lane in each direction may close 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, for bridge and widening work.
• 650 Boynton Beach Boulevard — the driveway and front parking area closes around-the-clock starting Thursday, Sept. 10, for drainage and curb work; detour via NW 8th or NW 7th Street.
• S.R. 805/U.S. 1/North Dixie Highway, Lake Worth Beach — intermittent overnight lane closures (8 p.m. to 4 a.m.) Sept. 8-10 between 21st Avenue North, Lucerne Avenue and the West Palm Beach Canal for underground utility work.
• I-95 northbound off-ramps, 12th Avenue South to 10th Avenue North — intermittent lane closures 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sept. 8-10 for electrical work.
• Northbound I-95 at Forest Hill Boulevard, West Palm Beach — right lane closed Tuesday through Friday for barrier wall construction.

Southern Palm Beach County

Boca Raton, Highland Beach and Delray Beach share two major FDOT jobs this week.

• S.R. 5/U.S. 1, Camino Real to NE 8th Street/Mizner Boulevard, Boca Raton — inside lanes both directions closed continuously through Sunday, Sept. 13, between SE 8th Street and SE 5th Street/Mizner Boulevard for widening; intermittent lane closures at Camino Real Sept. 8-11 for signal work; overnight closure Sept. 8-9 for tree relocation.
• S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach — daily 7 a.m.-5 p.m. striping closures Tuesday through Friday on U.S. 441/S.R. 7 and Atlantic Avenue; flagger-controlled lane closures on Smith Sundy Road.

Central Palm Beach County

Boynton Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and the Town of Palm Beach have several jobs in motion, though a couple are winding down.

• S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard resurfacing, east of Orchid Grove Trail to Palm Isles Drive — FDOT finalized acceptance of this project Aug. 28; no new closures expected.
• S.R. 704/Okeechobee Boulevard at Military Trail & S.R. 882/Forest Hill Boulevard at Haverhill Road lighting projects — all lanes currently open.
• S.R. 5/U.S. 1, Belvedere Road to south of Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach — intermittent lane closures 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8-11 for concrete and electrical work; outside lane closed through summer between Barcelona Road and Acacia Road for drainage work.

Northern Palm Beach County

Riviera Beach, Lake Park, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and the Beeline Highway corridor carry the heaviest FDOT footprint in the county this week.

• U.S. 1/S.R. 5, 59th Street to Northlake Boulevard, Riviera Beach — lane closures 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and again 9 p.m.-7 a.m. Sept. 8-11; sidewalk near the cruise terminal closed through November.
• S.R. 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction — daily lane closures 7 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday stack up across Beeline Highway, Blue Heron Boulevard, Northlake Boulevard, Jog Road and Haverhill Road; the northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard stays closed into winter.
• U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Earman River Bridge, North Palm Beach — southbound traffic remains shifted onto the northbound span; intermittent outside lane closure 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; the Earman River channel itself stays closed to boaters through spring 2027.

• S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard ramps & S.R. 7/U.S. 441 ramp improvements — daily 7 a.m.-5 p.m. lane closures Tuesday through Friday; the eastbound Southern Boulevard off-ramp U-turn lane stays closed until fall, and both sidewalks at the interchange remain shut through fall as well.

• Florida’s Turnpike widening, north of Southern Boulevard to north of Okeechobee Boulevard — the left-turn lane from northbound Jog Road to southbound Turnpike stays closed through late 2027; Jog Road over the Turnpike is down to two lanes each way, shifted east, with a detour via Belvedere Road and Pike Road.
