DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 21-year-old Boca Raton man is facing felony drug charges after Delray Beach Police say he roared down SE 5th Avenue at 71 mph — 36 over the limit — and had a bag of THC cartridges prescribed to someone else.

Ryan Dominic Keil was pulled over just before 11 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of SE 5th Avenue, where a sergeant running laser speed enforcement clocked his black Chevrolet Malibu in a 35 mph zone. Keil stopped in the Bank of America parking lot at 821 SE 5th Ave. Police say the car smelled strongly of burned marijuana, and Keil, who carried a Pennsylvania driver’s license, told officers he didn’t have a medical marijuana card. He then pulled a yellow vape from his pocket, handed it over and confirmed it held liquid THC, according to the probable cause affidavit.

A search turned up a white “Green Dragon” paper bag on the front passenger floorboard. Inside was a bag of marijuana labeled at 19.2 percent THC, plus three cartridges of liquid THC with labels reading 86.3, 84.4 and 69.6 percent. Every label carried another person’s name. After being read his Miranda rights, police say Keil admitted he knew about the products and said he was using his girlfriend’s THC for personal use. The marijuana weighed 14.19 grams and tested positive for THC.

Keil was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, one count of possession of marijuana under 20 grams and one count of reckless driving. He posted more than $20,000 bond and was released. A court date is pending.
