BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 21-year-old Boca Raton woman is facing charges after police say she knocked down a city road sign with her white Porsche early Sunday and drove off, leaving a trail of car parts behind her.

Officers on patrol found the mess around 4:24 a.m. at Dixie Highway and Palmetto Park Road. The sign was lying across several lanes, forcing drivers to swerve around it. Scattered nearby: a driver-side fog light, a chunk of white front bumper and a piece of trim bearing the Porsche name. A part number on one piece pointed police to a Porsche Macan, and a witness told officers he watched a white Porsche hit the sign and keep going. A police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com says the city estimates the damage at about $500.

Police found a matching Macan in the Taco Bell drive-thru at 1361 W. Palmetto Park Road. The driver, Elizabeth Kincaid Beck, allegedly twice tried to walk away after being told she wasn’t free to leave, according to the arrest report. She was handcuffed. Police say she repeatedly asked to be let go, claimed she had no idea what officers were talking about and refused to give her name, though she did confirm she was the only driver.

On the ride to booking, Beck allegedly told officers she “did not know we were serious before” and that she had “just hydroplaned,” police wrote. She is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and resisting an officer without violence, both misdemeanors. Arrest records list her as an FAU student.
