PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County man says he bit into a McNugget and swallowed something that never should have been there. Now he’s suing McDonald’s.

JJ Current just filed the complaint in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. According to the filing, Current bought the McNugget on Jan. 19 at the McDonald’s at 6858 Okeechobee Blvd. A “foreign object” was hidden inside, the suit claims, and Current bit down, swallowed it and injured his stomach and teeth. The complaint does not say what the object was.

The lawsuit accuses McDonald’s Corporation of negligence and strict liability. It alleges the company failed to inspect its food for foreign objects and sold a product that was adulterated in violation of Florida Statute 500.10 — one that was unreasonably dangerous and not as safe as an ordinary customer would expect.

Current is seeking more than $50,000 in damages for pain and suffering, medical bills, lost income and other losses, and he’s demanded a jury trial. Lake Worth attorney Ian Bressler filed the case. No response yet from McDonalds.

We also remind readers that civil court filings are allegations made by the party filing suit. The validity of those allegations will be determined in court.
