BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Boca Raton Regional Hospital, now a part of the Baptist Healthcare System, is encouraging area residents who believe they may have Coronavirus-related issues to first use telemedicine to meet with a medical professional.

In a late Wednesday advisory, Boca Raton Regional Hospital wrote:

“If you or someone you know has cold or flu-like symptoms, use Baptist Health Care On Demand to find guidance and/or peace of mind before rushing to a waiting room.”

The service is available nationwide.

Here is a link to Baptist’s “Care on Demand” system.

Again, the service is free and was last heavily promoted during Hurricanes Irma and Dorian. Any service which permits you to receive initial medical care or evaluation without being exposed to others is arguably something that potential patients should consider take advantage of. The hospital is providing a promo code for a “free visit.” It’s unclear if it’s truly needed or not. The promo code is Care19.

As of 3:42pm Tuesday afternoon (March 11, 2020), there were still NO reported cases of Coronavirus anywhere in Palm Beach County.
