BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The yellow X on the early Tuesday morning map, above, may be worth watching — according to forecasters at the National Hurricane Center.
While it’s still too early to know what the wave will do — if anything, it now has a 30 percent chance of development over 48 hours into 5 days. It could absolutely dissipate and become nothing at all, but its presence is a reminder that it’s never too early to be prepared along Florida’s east coast.
Here is the early morning outlook from the National Hurricane Center for the “yellow X” and Tropical Storm Claudette:
For the North Atlantic…Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
The National Hurricane Center has issued the last advisory on the
remnants of Claudette, located a couple of hundred miles southeast
of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
A tropical wave located about 650 miles east-southeast of the
Windward Islands is producing disorganized showers and a few
thunderstorms. Some additional development of this disturbance will
be possible during the next couple of days before upper-level winds
become less conducive for further organization by Thursday. The
system is expected to move westward to west-northwestward at 15 to
20 mph.
