Kosher Restaurant In Boca Raton Warned By Health Inspector

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Glatt Kosher Restaurant in East Boca Raton is facing a re-inspection by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation after an inspector was apparently dissatisfied with what was seen during a check on October 19th.

Among the issues: a man with an exposed beard preparing food.

Roadhouse, at 7000 West Camino Real, was not cited for any “high priority” violations, but incurred four intermediate violations and three basic violations — all unacceptable according to the inspector’s report.

This is the language written by the inspector:

Intermediate – Handwash sink not accessible for employee use at all times. Blocked by Food Trolley and garbage can. HWS at Dishwasher **Corrected On-Site**

Intermediate – Manager or person in charge lacking proof of food manager certification.

Intermediate – No paper towels or mechanical hand drying device provided at handwash sink. Hand wash sink next to oven **Corrected On-Site**

Intermediate – No proof of required state-approved employee training provided for any employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: **Repeat Violation**

Basic – Wall soiled with accumulated grease, food debris, and/or dust. Mold-like substance at Hand wash sink. Bar **Corrected On-Site**

Basic – Floor soiled/has accumulation of grease

Basic – Employee with no beard guard/restraint while engaging in food preparation.

Roadhouse was not ordered to close following the review, but will be subjected to an unannounced inspection.
