BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Redcon1 Founder Aaron Singerman has been ordered to appear in a federal courtroom on Thursday after prosecutors say he crashed his car while under the influence of sleeping medication. U.S. Magistrate William Matthewman ordered Singerman to appear on Thursday, writing that if he doesn’t, “an arrest warrant shall be issued.”

In a multi-page brief obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, prosecutors write that they are concerned by Singerman’s “escalating irresponsible and dangerous behavior.” From the brief:

“The defendant appears to have a substance abuse problem, and his behavior is spiraling downward as he approaches his sentencing date. Clearly, defendant’s recent conduct shows that defendant could harm others or himself before his sentencing on January 27, 2022. While the sentencing is two weeks away, it is apparent that the current conditions of his release are insufficient, and that the safety of both the public and the defendant are at immediate risk.”

Singerman plead guilty in November to several counts of a federal indictment accusing him of mislabeling and selling nutritional supplements. The guilty plea came on the eve of his federal trial and brings with it the possibility of a decade or more in federal prison.

Days after the guilty plea, Singerman was arrested for boating under the influence in Broward County after he allegedly crashed his Redcon1 boat into several docks in and around Deerfield Beach. Police allege he was more than three times the legal limit for alcohol at the time of his arrest.

Notably, federal prosecutors and Singerman’s attorneys agreed that the Broward County arrest would not impact his bond agreement that lets him remain free until sentencing on the federal guilty plea completed, later this month. The deal: Singerman was to attend alcohol and mental health counseling.

But on Wednesday, prosecutors with the United States Department of Justice filed a “motion to revoke” after his latest incident. BocaNewsNow.com is awaiting an official narrative from the jurisdiction involved.

Singerman announced at a Redcon1 holiday party at Mar-A-Lago that he wouldn’t do anything differently, even though he is facing a decade in federal prison. The federal magistrate could order him to prison as early as Friday.
