DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Seven Bridges Homeowners Association is suing GL Homes, the builder responsible for Seven Bridges, The Bridges, Boca Bridges, Dakota, Lotus, and Valencia communities up and down Lyons Road.
At issue: shoddy workmanship that the HOA claims GL left behind when it finished Seven Bridges a few years ago. GL Homes has, according to the suit, refused to fix the problems, leaving the HOA to pay for fixes itself. The problem with GL is not new. Other GL communities have also been left to file suit when the builder packed up and left.

Among the 80 issues that the Seven Bridges Homeowners Association demands that GL resolve: security failures due to an “inadequate” gate entry system; failure to install fences which renders security useless — anyone can enter or exit the community from several points along the perimeter; ceiling cracks in the community’s clubhouse; tile deterioration; multiple violations of Florida building code, and more.

GL Homes, in the process of completing “Boca Bridges,” is asking the Palm Beach County Commission for permission to build new communities across from Seven Bridges and Boca Bridges on the West side of US 441. Commissioners have yet approved new mega-communities. Homes in GL’s new developments now tend to carry a starting price of $1M.
