Shooting Just Before Noon Saturday Led To Major Police, Paramedic Response.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man accidentally shot himself in the leg in the 21800 block of Boca Ridge Drive just before noon on Saturday. The area is south of Glades Road between Lyons and U.S. 441.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Deputies rushed to the scene and quickly determined the shooting was accidental and not criminal. There is no search for a suspect. No wrongdoing is believed to have occurred.

The man, believed to be in his late 50s or 60s, was transported to Delray Medical Center — the area’s trauma center — for treatment. BocaNewsNow.com has learned from sources that he is expected to be fine.

It was not immediately known what type of gun was used, or what was happening when it apparently accidentally discharged.
