BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Glades Road will be completely closed in both directions at I-95 all weekend long. This is the closure that was set for last weekend but was canceled at the last minute by the Florida Department of Transportation. No delay of game is expected this weekend.
The closure is expected to start around 10 p.m. Friday night and continue — without interruption — until roughly 5 a.m. Monday morning. No one will be permitted to drive over I-95, which means a complete roadblock heading East before I-95, and a complete roadblock heading West before I-95. All traffic will be detoured to Yamato or other points where I-95 can be crossed. Additionally, all I-95 ramps at Glades Road will be closed.
In theory, the work performed this weekend should complete the Diverging Diamond. Once the work is complete, all cones, barriers, and construction equipment are expected to be removed.
Work on I-95 in the area continues, however. Express lane expansion and road enhancement on I-95 in Palm Beach County is expected to continue for months.
