BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Pitbull in Publix on West Palmetto Park Road is raising concerns from BocaNewsNow.com readers who say a breed known for violent attacks should never be allowed in a public place, let a lone a store where little kids may be present.

While Publix officially bans all dogs from its stores, readers say it is inexplicable that the chain permitted the dog inside at all, and can’t believe that store employees did nothing to stop the man — and his Pitbull — from entering the location. Pitbulls are banned from many communities across South Palm Beach County. The breed is often associated with violent, sometimes deadly attacks.

Readers want to know why these dogs were permitted in the Starbucks in The Reserve shopping center, at U.S. 441 and Clint Moore Road. Their owners are nominated for “Boca Rudeton™.”

Other Boca Rudeton nominations on this Saturday include the people who brought dogs into Starbucks in the Reserve Shopping Center (U.S. 441 and Clint Moore Road), the woman who brought a large dog to the pharmacy in an area WalMart, and the motorist who apparently felt it was completely fine to drive while a dog sat on her lap — in a moving vehicle — in Palm Beach County. We start with the WalMart photo:

Is the dog really needed in WalMart? Readers say “no,” and believe the owner should be nominated for a Boca Rudeton™ award.

And now for the person driving with a dog. Or should we say the dog driving with a person? There is a reason lawmaker in Florida wanted to ban this. It’s idiotic and unsafe.

There’s no other way to say it. Some idiotic driver in Palm Beach County apparently felt it was fine to drive with a dog on her lap, according to our Boca Rudeton tipster.

We also include a Boca Rudeton nomination for the driver with Florida tag DRU-H17 who decided one space wasn’t enough outside the Dollar Tree on Hillsboro Blvd. in Parkland.

How many spots does one car need? Our readers say this driver is perfect for a Boca Rudeton™ award.

We remind our readers: there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! (And for the love of all things, do not bring a pitbull into a supermarket). Send us your nominations by using the form, below. Boca Rudeton™ is a trademark of MetroDesk Media, LLC.
