BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man identified as the recently departed bartender in the Delray Beach community of Seven Bridges is facing a charge of “grand theft auto” following his arrest by the Boca Raton Police Department.

According to a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Patricio Herrera, who is listed with addresses in both Parkland and Delray Beach, was taken into custody and charged with stealing a 2023 Toyota Rav 4. The theft allegedly occurred in Broward County. The Broward Sheriff’s Office tracked the vehicle to Boca Raton where police located it at 2001 North Federal Highway.

“After a short time,” wrote an investigator, “the vehicle became occupied by a Hispanic male wearing a teal-colored shirt, black shorts, and a black hat. The male was the sole occupant of the RAV4. The RAV4 then traveled over to 1921 North Federal Highway (B-Kwik) and the driver exited the vehicle and entered the B-Kwik. “

Police entered the store and took Herrera into custody — then returned the vehicle to the victim who was called to the scene. Records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com indicate that Herrera was convicted of possessing cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and fabricating evidence — all in Palm Beach County — prior to this incident, and prior to his employment as a bartender.

Herrera was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Monday evening. He remains in jail where he is being held in lieu of $3,000 bond.
