BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — There is a major delay as of 5:50 p.m. Friday, and it is building, in the area of the Florida Turnpike and the Sawgrass Expressway in North Broward County.
At least one child is critically injured following a crash that left at least one vehicle overturned. It happen around 5:20 p.m. Northbound traffic is backed up for miles on the turnpike, specifically in the area of Sample Road.
It appears that one lane may be getting by, but that is doing little to ease the congestion during a late Friday afternoon commute. Expect major delays if you are heading northbound on the Turnpike, or expecting someone who is.
