Now 60-Percent Chance Wave Develops Into Cyclone Over Seven Days.

The National Hurricane Center Friday increased its chance of developing into a cyclone to 40 percent over seven days. Tropical Storm Don continues to churn with no threat to anyone or anything. For the North Atlantic… Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
Active Systems: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Don, located over the central Atlantic.
1. Central Tropical Atlantic (AL95): A small area of low pressure, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, is producing an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the central tropical Atlantic. Although there is dry air located to the north of the system, favorable upper-level winds are expected to allow for gradual development during the next several days. This system could become a tropical depression early next week, as it moves westward across the tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours…medium…40 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days…medium…60 percent.
… TROPICAL WAVES… An eastern Atlantic tropical wave has its axis extending from 19N32W to 06N33W. It is moving westward at 10-15 kt. Only isolated showers and thunderstorms are noted from 06N to 10N between 30W-35W. A central Caribbean tropical wave has its axis along 77W south of eastern Jamaica to inland northwestern Colombia. It is moving westward around 15 kt. No significant convection is seen near this wave.
