BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Never underestimate the brazen rudeness of dog owners living, shopping, and eating in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach. Our tipsters shared scores of photos over the past several days of these elitists who believe they are entitled to violate state and federal law by bringing their dogs into supermarkets and restaurants. Let’s get things started with today’s Boca Rudeton™ nominees.

Our first stop: Walgreens at 441 and Glades Road in Boca Raton. The dog clearly wants its owner to buy a different greeting card. But we wonder why the owner didn’t get the message that it’s weird to bring a dog into a store that exists to help people who don’t feel well try to feel better. Very rarely is that accomplished by bringing an animal to the place where medicine is sold

We move on to Wawa at 441 and Atlantic Avenue in West Delray Beach. Again, we wonder why the dog’s apparent owner brought the dog into the store. It seems unwrapped, fresh food, so bringing the dog inside seems to fall in the category of federal violation. We know, we know: “but it’s hot outside! You can’t leave a dog in the car!” Sure. But how about leaving the dog at home?

Our next stop: this woman in a Boca Raton Publix. Our tipster said the woman was asked about the dog but had no interest in responding. Again, Publix couldn’t make it more clear: it’s illegal to bring your dog into a supermarket unless it’s a trained service dog. And if you lie about it being an officially trained service dog, you’re violating state and potentially federal law.

Woman with dog in Boca Raton Publix. Maybe this is an officially trained service dog with federally approved papers. Maybe.

We note that Publix, which owns Greenwise, posts signs like these in every store. So we wonder whether it’s Trumpism — where laws don’t apply — or just ignorance that led the shopper to bring his dog in the store.
