BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s another week of arguably rude dog owners in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach — owners who believe they have the right to bring their dogs wherever they go. As BOCANEWSNOW.com readers know, federal and state laws take an opposing point of view.
We start with the blond-haired, white-hatted woman with a dog in a human stroller in the Publix Greenwise on Boca Rio road. We don’t know why this woman needed her dog in the deli aisle. We don’t know why this woman needed her dog in the store, at all. Publix makes it clear: only officially trained service animals — like those who help the vision impaired — are permitted in the store. Lying about your dog’s status is a violation of federal and state law.
We move on to Dunkin’ Donuts where the woman with the dog is apparently in such need of a dog that she’s on the phone while holding the dog’s leash AND ordering donuts — all at the same time. What service could the dog possibly need to provide? Perhaps hold the donuts that she’s ordering at the store at 1999 NW 2nd Avenue in Boca Raton…

In another Publix, this time the Publix at Oriole Plaza, this woman brought her rat into the store. Oh wait, maybe that’s a dog. Either way, bringing a personal animal into a supermarket is illegal. Even if it’s wearing a gray and pink sweater — when it’s 100 degrees outside.

And at B.J.’s in Boynton Beach, the woman below apparently “walked around the store with her dog like she owned the place” according to our tipster. We don’t know why the dog was needed in the store. Our tipster says it was unclear what official service this dog could have provided if the dog was needed to provide a service.

A tipster says this woman and her dog “walked around BJ’s in Boynton like they owned the place.” No, we don’t know why a dog was in the store.
We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. We also remind our readers that “emotional support animals” are not considered to be “service” animals and are not to be allowed in restaurants or stores. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your photos to us using the form, below. Boca Rudeton™ is a trademark of Metro Desk Media, LLC.
