BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A mid-afternoon crash in the area of Lyons Road and Yamato Road incredibly led to no injuries — even though the look of the crash led to a major response by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Three vehicles were involved, with a van ending up on top of a sedan. Arriving rescuers, according to those familiar with the response, expected the worst, but found all occupants of all of the vehicles standing on the road. None apparently needed medical attention.
It was not immediately clear what led to the crash or whether charges were filed against any of the drivers. The Lyons Road and Yamato Road intersection is notoriously challenging — the lines on Lyons do not necessarily align north and south of Yamato, often making it difficult for drivers unfamiliar with the area to navigate. The proximity to Century Village also often leads to drivers in the area who may not be quite as confident as they once were behind the wheel.
