BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton noodle restaurant “KAPOW!” At 402 Plaza Real is being sued by landlord Crocker Downtown Development Associates. The restaurant, part of a chain, allegedly owes tens of thousands of dollars in back rent.
According to a complaint obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, KAPOW! And Crocker entered into an agreement to extend the lease first executed in 2011 back in 2021. The lease, which includes 5,175 square feet of floor area, carries an annual fee of no less than $258,750.00 per year.
But attorneys allege that KAPOW! hasn’t paid anything in months, and now owes $68,296.05. You can read the complete suit here.
KAPOW! hadn’t filed a response to the suit as of mid-afternoon Friday. The restaurant chain lists 519 Clematis Street in West Palm Beach as its main address. The chain self-describes using this language: “Kapow! focuses on a menu of communal Asian comfort food, our modern take on Asian street food. Indulge in the food, wash it all down with a craft beer or hand-crafted cocktails while never breaking the bank – small plates start at $5”
