BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A brush fire burning just south of Boca Raton has led to the closure of Hillsboro Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
As of 6 a.m., Hillsboro is closed between U.S. 441 and Lyons Road. Your only legitimate alternatives are Palmetto Park Road to the north or the Sawgrass Expressway to the south.
It was not immediately clear how long fire officials expect Hillsboro to remain closed. The brush fire is considered to be significant and causing unsafe smoke conditions in the area.
