Gerry Keller Allegedly Sent Threatening Text, Destroyed Wife’s Closet In Boca Woods. Read Texts, See Images.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man claims he “butt dialed” his wife, violating an order of protection issued by a Palm Beach County judge. The man, Gerry Wayne Keller, apparently couldn’t explain to police how he “butt dialed” a text message — then allegedly continued to text and call her multiple times. Keller was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday. He remains locked up Friday afternoon.
The affidavit of probable cause references the protection order issued after his soon-to-be ex-wife provided photos like the one seen below, and a series of text messages. Among the photos: one that the woman claims shows her closet in their Boca Woods home after Keller threw her clothes all over the floor. It allegedly happened after she told him she’s filing for divorce.
In the application for the protection order that was ultimately granted, the woman also claimed that Keller sent a text message claiming that he would kill her and “bury her in the back yard.” This is another message she claims was received by an acquaintance. We have redacted certain names and identifications.
From the police report leading to Gerry Keller’s arrest on October 26, 2023: “I made contact with the (complainant) who told me her soon to be ex-husband Gerry Keller was issued a no contact order on 10/11/23. (The complainant) said on 10/21/23 she received a text message from (Gerry) which stated “I need your help-emergency.” (The complainant” said she did not respond to the message.”

“She said on 10/21/23 at approximately 0150 hours she received two phone calls from Gerry and did not answer the phone calls. She then told me she received approximately ten phone calls from an unknown number afterward and said she believed it was Gerry calling her so she did not answer. I observed the phone messages and received copies that were placed into evidence at a later time. I retrieved a copy of the temporary injunction for protection against domestic violence that is against Gerry. The protection order stated: ‘Respondent shall not directly or indirectly contact Petitioner in person, by mail, e-mail, fax, telephone, through another person, or in any other manner.”
“I made contact with Gerry who was read his Miranda rights. Gerry told me he was unaware of contracting (complainant) on 10/21/23 and probably butt-dialed her by accident.” Keller is being held on $15,000 bond.
