Police in Delray Beach say they have recovered the vehicle driven during a fatal hit and run.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Delray Beach Police Department tells BocaNewsNow.com that it has found the suspect vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run on November 11th.

As we first told you after the incident, Romeo Della-Valle, 71, was killed when he was struck by a Chevy Malibu on SW 10th Avenue in Delray Beach.

This was the initial statement provided to BocaNewsNow.com by Delray Beach PD: “A 71-year-old man lost his life in a hit-and-run crash on the evening of November 11, 2023.  The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. at 1301 SW. 10th Avenue in Delray Beach. Witnesses at the scene report that the victim was walking when he was struck by the suspect vehicle, described as a dark cherry red or dark colored 2013 to 2016 Chevy Malibu. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, heading southbound towards Linton Boulevard. The injured man died at the scene. 

The suspect vehicle was believed to have sustained significant damage to its front end, including the grill, headlights, windshield, and the front end driver’s side fog light cover.
