BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you need emergency medical care in South Palm Beach County, you may want to hope for the best and speed to Jupiter, where Jupiter Medical Center received a grade of “A” from the non-profit “Leapfrog Group.” Leapfrog releases grades quarterly, looking at the number of staph, central line, and urinary tract infections developed by patients receiving hospital care. It also reviews how staff members share information with patients.

You can read the entire list of hospital ratings for South Florida, and beyond, at the end of this report.

Baptist Health’s Boca Raton Regional Hospital received a “D” grade. That’s down from a “C” last year. West Boca Medical Center and Delray Medical — operating under the name “Palm Beach Health Network” which seems designed to shield it from the controversial “Tenet” name, each received “C” grades. Tenet owns both hospitals.

Baptist Health’s Bethesda West received a “B” in the review, as did Baptist’s Bethesda East.

Wellington Regional Medical Center received a “C” grade, as did Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. Memorial Hospital in Pembroke Pines logged a “B.” Mt. Sinai on Miami Beach recorded a “C,” as did the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami — one of the busiest trauma centers in the region. Read the complete list here.

  1. This does not surprise me. I unfortunately had a medical problem requiring several stays this year. The care is horrible. And yes I have other hospitals to compare that to. You have doctors who know nothing about you. The nurses are very nonchalant and obviously there for a paycheck. Things have really changed. Not to mention they dont even follow their own billing policies. I have already reported them to Joint Commission.
