BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Just hours after suspected killer Brandon Labiner was found dead in his Palm Beach County Jail cell, BocaNewsNow.com is publishing video of what appears to be the murder of Labiner’s father, Paul. The news organization withheld publishing the video — also provided to police — until the case was closed. Brandon Labiner’s death closes the case.
The video, which you can view below, appears to show Brandon Labiner entering the parking garage of his father’s law firm at 5499 North Federal Highway on July 1st, 2023 around 3 p.m. He is on his bicycle, parks the bike, walks around for a few moments, then retrieves items from a bag. It remains unclear what he specifically removed from the bag.

Labiner is then seen walking to the back of the garage. The video shows what appears to be some sort of activity involving another individual in that area. Police later reported that Labiner’s father, Paul, was found in the breezeway connecting the garage to the office building.
“The preliminary investigation indicated that there appeared to be a gunshot wound to his head, a gunshot wound to his upper chest, and two gunshot wounds to his lower body,” wrote police in a report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. “Five spent .9mm shell casings were located near the decedent and three .9mm bullets (live rounds) were located just east of the decedent near the entrance to the walkway where he was located. An additional .9mm bullet (live round) was located in a trashcan in the parking garage just north of the Walkway where the decedent was located.”
Brandon Labiner, an attorney, was apparently having problems with his father, a trust and estates attorney. The elder Labiner, as we reported at the time of the murder, allegedly called his son a “subpar” attorney. Sources also suggest there were financial issues between Paul Labiner and his son. Following his arrest, Brandon Labiner lied to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office — claiming that he was a federal prosecutor and that certain information about his arrest could not be released under Florida Statute. BocaNewsNow.com provided information to PBSO that proved that claim to be untrue. The information was ultimately released and additional charges were considered against Labiner.
Brandon Labiner was charged with “first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm” and was awaiting trial in the Palm Beach County Jail when he was found dead on Wednesday. An investigation into his cause of death continues. Read our previous coverage here.
