BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you’re a fan of BurgerFi in Boca Raton, you may want to look twice at your food before eating. The location at 9674 Glades Road received a warning from the State of Florida after an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation saw insects in the kitchen.

High Priority – Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area and/or bar area. Dining area Coca-Cola beverage dispenser machine- observed 5 live flying insects flying around soda dispenser. Front counter beer dispenser nozzle- observed 8 live flying insects flying around and landing on nozzle to dispense beer. Operator discarded live flying insects. Wash and sanitize both areas. Warning
Intermediate – Manager or person in charge lacking proof of food manager certification. Warning
Intermediate – No proof of required state approved employee training provided for any employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Warning
A follow-up inspection on December 8th revealed no deficiencies. BurgerFi Boca Raton was not ordered to close at anytime during the inspection process.
