DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Coming off a record year of 22 arrests, the senior living community of Kings Point in Delray Beach just logged its second arrest of 2024 — just two weeks into the new year.

The latest arrest: Leonard Brown. Brown was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Monday night by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with battery. This appears to be Mr. Brown’s first interaction with the criminal justice system in Palm Beach County.

Kings Point, based on unofficial BocaNewsNow.com records, appears to log more arrests of residents than any other senior living community in South Palm Beach County. Police arrest 22 residents in 2023. That beats by one the 21 residents arrested in 2022.

Among the 2023 arrests: residents accused of drunk driving, drug dealing, sex offenses, battery, a man who allegedly shot at someone for walking their dog on a golf course, a woman who resisted arrest, and more. Read our Kings Point Delray Beach coverage here.
