BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two students are being detained as of 3:30 p.m. Monday after the Broward Sheriff’s Office says guns and drugs were found in a car on the campus of Deerfield Beach High School.

BSO issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:

“Shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies located two loaded firearms and several loaded magazines along with illegal narcotics in a car in a parking lot on the campus of Deerfield Beach High School.

At this time, two students have been detained, and the investigation is active and ongoing. There are no known threats to the school, and the school is currently on lockdown. BSO’s Deerfield Beach District deputies and Threat Management Unit detectives are investigating.”
