“The Florida Department of Health Palm Beach County has conducted a saltwater beach water quality sampling Spanish River Beach and South Inlet Park Beach and determined that the water quality is good and safe for swimming. Swimming is now permitted.”

The two swim areas were closed earlier this week when tests returned positive for high bacterial levels, leading officials to issue this advisory:

”The Florida Dept. of Health of Palm Beach County has posted a Health Advisory for South Inlet Park and Spanish River Beach Park. A recent sampling showed elevated bacterial levels in the water. For the safety of residents & visitors, swimming is prohibited until further notice; however, the park and beach will remain open.”

Health officials routine test ocean water in swimming areas up and down the Palm Beach County coast.
