DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Updating a story BocaNewsNow.com was first to report Sunday evening, a Delray Beach woman is in custody after police say she shot her son-in-law. BocaNewsNow.com has identified the woman as Sally Conley, 69, of the 4800 block of Sherwood Forest Drive in Delray Beach.

According to police, “At 6:30 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2024, Delray Beach police responded to a report of a shooting in the 200-block of SW 29th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim who had been shot. The incident occurred in front of the victim’s home. Delray Beach Fire Rescue transported the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

It was not immediately clear what led to the altercation, but the shooting did lead to a “premeditated” murder charge. We note that the Palm Beach County Jail often interchanges murder with “attempted” murder. Police tell us the victim is expected to survive.

Conley remains in police custody late Monday afternoon. No bond has been set.
