BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on $75,000 after being booked on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior. The arrest report was still being processed early Thursday morning following the Tuesday arrest.

The Palm Beach County Jail tells BocaNewsNow.com that Leo Bonaparte of the 900 block of NW 4th Avenue in Boca Raton is charged with “lewd and lascivious behavior” with the distinction of “touching a victim 16 or 17 years of age.” Bonaparte, who is 62, was charged with three counts of the crime. He was arrested by the Boca Raton Police Department. Bonaparte is a martial arts instructor with Millennium Martial Arts, according to records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com.

It was not immediately clear what led police to Bonaparte or whether there is concern that there may be other alleged victims. A judge found probable cause and ordered that Bonaparte stay away from “any person under the age of 18.” He is also under a court order to have “no contact with the victim’s family.”

Bonaparte was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 1:23 a.m. on May 21st and released that evening on bond — each count carried $25,000. A first appearance is set for June 20th, 2024.
