THUNDERSTORMS: A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING MAINLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE REGION. THE
PRIMARY THREAT FROM THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE OCCASIONAL
LIGHTNING STRIKES AND BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.
FLOODING: DUE TO THE ALREADY SATURATED GROUND OVER THE EAST COAST
METROPOLITAN AREA, ANY THUNDERSTORM THAT OCCURS COULD CAUSE A
BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOUR LEADING TO SOME MINOR URBAN STREET FLOODING.
RIP CURRENTS: A NORTHEAST WIND OF 15 TO 20 MPH ALONG THE PALM
BEACH COUNTY COAST WILL RESULT IN A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS
AT THE BEACHES. A NORTHEAST WIND OF 10 TO 15 MPH ALONG THE COAST
OF BROWARD AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTIES WILL GENERATE A SLIGHT RISK OF
RIP CURRENTS AT THE BEACHES.
