BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — BocaNewsNow.com has obtained the official email sent to the Florida Atlantic University community following the triple shooting off campus Sunday evening. The shooting, reportedly a drug deal gone bad, led to the arrest of two FAU students who police say were involved in attempting to hide an AK-47 on campus. T
Students Jared Tuck, DOB 2/18/1993 from Seminole, Florida, and Anthony Proios, DOB 6/08/1993 of Largo, Florida, have been charged as “accessories after the fact.”
According to FAU, other students may have witnessed or have knowledge of the crime, and may be under investigation by Boca Raton Police.

The FAU Police Department was alerted by the Boca Raton Police Department that there was an off-campus shooting, near Northwest 20th Street and Northwest Fourth Avenue, the evening of Sunday, October 30.
Today, the FAU Police Department was notified that two students were charged as accessories to the crime and others were involved or witnessed the incident.
The Boca Raton Police Department has been taking the lead regarding this investigation since it falls in their jurisdiction, and the FAU Police Department has been fully cooperative with them as they continue to move forward with the investigation.
When FAU originally was alerted of the incident two days ago, the University sent out an email to all residence hall students, making them aware of the incident due to its proximity, and asking them to be aware of their surroundings and follow safe practices.
In light of today’s information, the Dean of Students is taking immediate action regarding these students.
The health, safety and welfare of FAU students, faculty and staff are of utmost importance. To that end, the FAU Police Department continues to do all it can to ensure a safe environment for the FAU campus community.
