A customer reports to Boca Raton Police that his mother hired the company to sell her timeshare. It was paid $2,446 but the timeshare wasn’t sold and the company seems to have vanished. However, BocaNewsNow.com finds a listing at 1800 Northeast 51st Court in Pompano Beach, according to the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations. The State of Florida also lists D’Arcy Bruce as the manager, and the law firm of Spiegel and Utrera in Miami as the registered agent.

Timeshare owners should be very cautious when asked to pay upfront to sell their timeshares. A good rule to follow is only pay upfront fees to companies who have a good rating with the BBB, and who have been in business over 1 year or preferably more. Paying upfront fees to less established businesses is just too risky considering the recent swarm of fly-by-night companies running scams like this.

I HAVE BEEN CALLING EVERY DAY NO ANSWER OR RESPONSE, FROM EITHER ROBERT DOW AND PETER WORTHINGTON I GUESS HE DECIDED TO CHANGE HIS NUMBER BECAUSE I CALLED TODAY FINALLY LEFT ANOTHER MESSAGE NEXT TWO HOURS I CALLED THE NUMBER IS NO LONGER IN SERVICE AND ROBERT DOW HAS NOT ANSWERED MY CALLS EITHER.THAT’S ALLRIGHT I HAVE A LAWYER ON THEM AS WE SPEAK. I’M LOOKING FOR MY MONEY BACK IAM BEHIND ON ALL MY BILLS.

AFTER NO CALL, I HAVE BEEN CALLING BOTH EVERY DAY NO ANSWER FROM EITHER ONE OF THEM. LO AND BEHOLD I TRY ONCE AGAIN ON 11/28 AND BOTH OF THEIRS HAVE A REPLY THAT THE NUMBER IS NO LONGER IN SERVICE. THE INITIAL CONTACT WAS MADE BY A PERSON BY A NAME OF “ROBERT BELL” WHO WAS WITH “VPR”??? ROBERT HAD NOT ANSWERED MY CALLS EITHER AND THE SAME MESSAGE THAT THE PHONE WAS NO LONGER IN SERVICE. MY LAWYER WILL BE ON THE HUNT FOR THEM AND IF I FIND THAT THE POTENTIAL “BUYER” WHO’S PHONE IN cALIFORNIA HAS ALSO BEEN DISCONNECTED IS ASSOCIATED WITON THEM HE WILL BE A TARGET AS WELL. NOT ONLY AM I’M LOOKING FOR MY MONEY BACK, I WILL BEEKING A CRIMINAL CHARGE AS WELL AS PUNITIVE DAMAGES TO THE EXTENT THE LAW WILL ALLOW!
