BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — The Town Center Mall in Boca is getting a new General Manager. Simon Property Group, which owns the mall, tells us that Brian Nelson is the new chief. He, according to Simon, is a “retail sales, marketing and management veteran for more than 21 years.”

/As general manager, Nelson will be responsible for all aspects related to the continued success of Town Center at Boca Raton including mall operations, tenant relations, leasing, marketing, business development, security and customer service.
“Brian Nelson’s leadership experience will be an asset to Town Center at Boca Raton,” said Gilmore. “Our team welcomes his enthusiasm and expertise as we continue to enhance the Simon shopping experience at Town Center at Boca Raton with more luxury retail choices and dining options.”
Nelson joins Town Center at Boca Raton from Indianapolis, Indiana where he served as area manager for Greenwood Park Mall, Washington Square Mall and four community centers operated by Simon Property Group. He has been with Simon Property Group since 2000, developing new business initiatives and leading the national sales efforts of the Simon Business Network.
Prior to that, Nelson served in various sales training and management roles for a Cincinnati-based wholesale distribution company. He was actively involved in economic development and redevelopment activities in Indianapolis, as well as local government and non-profit boards.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
