Early Morning Accident Leaves Delray Beach Man Dead


DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — 57-year-old Bobby Burns of Lake Ida Road in Delray Beach was killed early this morning when a car driven by 30-year-old Alvaro Abanto, also of Delray Beach, crashed into him.
According to police, Burns was pushing his vehicle within the center southbound lane of Jog Road with no lights on. Abanto, apparently unable to see Burns or his vehicle, hit Burns and then his car. Burns was pronounced dead at the scene.
Abanto was transported to Delray Medical Center for injuries he sustained in the crash.
No charges have been filed. The investigation continues.
